Welcome to the Sandbox! This is an all sci-fi/fantasy game loosely based in the Star Trek Prime Universe in 2390 and on. If you can think it and it's realistic, come give it a shot. We have a brainstorming section, wiki for creation of your own species and technology, and a ship ready to explore the Virgo Supercluster of Galaxies.
This is based more on Roddenberry trek where we are explorers in the unknown universe.

That's right! We're soon to be off. If you have anything you need to post (like coming aboard the ship), then it needs to get in. If you haven't posted your coming aboard the ship post, get it in now. For new characters still in the creation process, we can work with those individually. Just let me know.
Otherwise we're pushing off tomorrow!

Preludes is now just for Prelude posts. No more need to put "Prelude - " in front of your title.
just date it accordingly.
Any post with MD in it belongs to the mission Down the Rabbit Hole - Our first mission. I've activated it properly now.
Looking forward to pushing off. a few of you still need to check in but you have time! We leave August 15th for the Dark Sector.

» Ship Out Date

Ok, everybody! We want to get shoving off on our first official mission on August 15th! So if you're working on prelude or getting your character introduced, please make sure you have your character on the ship by the 15th. If you're not done with prelude, that's ok. We'll give extra time for you to put that out as we go. We'll decide how long that stays open later.
To sum it up, make sure your character is on the ship BEFORE August 15th! If you need any help or want to JP that, talking to either me or Therese :)

» Nova Quirk

Hey all,
There is a quirk that we discovered with posting joint posts. As we wrote a lot of this over the last couple of weeks in a running google doc, when we copy and paste to send in with the authors selected, the author that didn't "edit" the post in Nova loses the credit for the post.
So when you do a JP to ensure that your stuff is captured right, you can either copy and past from Google Docs into Nova and save it, let the other author edit it and save or edit it and post.
We as GMs understand how tedious this can be and will try to make sure that the tagged people are correctly associated with their posts for stats.
Another option is to just use the Nova gui to do the posts. Just hit save, and the other person can edit it.

» Preludes Update

Okay! So. We realized some of our character interaction development is a bit in depth and too much to slam the list. The preludes mission will remain open after we leave on our mission. This way anyone and everyone will be able to post their backstory as they want without having to flashback stuff.
If you do want to flashback stuff as it is integral to a current day post, please post it to the mission we are on.
