| Personal History | Jéanne-Thérèse had to fight her parents in order to leave home and attend Medical School. Not winning the argument, she left in the middle of the night when she was 16. Since the Federation went to war with the Dominion in 2372, everyone transitioned and were fast tracked. Instead of finishing her degree for becoming a doctor, she was adjusted as a nurse and assigned to the USS Astoria, where her skills were heavily utilized in triage. Here she learned the skills of prioritizing patients and managing casualties better than the Academy could teach her. It still wasn't as much as she had hoped for. Before she could do anything about it though, she was reassigned to the front lines as a battle medic. She didn’t mind though. This is what she dreamed for; this was how she was going to be most effective. Life proved difficult being on the front lines of the war, but she managed to make it through. Once the war was over, she was assigned to the USS Coleman as the head nurse. During a routine transport of medical supplies from Earth to the Coleman before they were to disembark again for the neutral zone, her shuttle encountered problems exiting the atmosphere, ultimately disappearing from all sensors – no wreckage could be found. Starfleet, having finished a full investigation of the matter, sealed the fate of the three man crew as killed in action. Years later, she reappeared on the other side of a black out in service record. Her record as adjusted from KIA to MIA and she enrolled at Starfleet Medical to finish her training that she started when she had gone through the first time. Once she finished, she as assigned to the USS Expedition for a couple of years and then to the USS Andromeda. One day she has the hope of becoming Chief Medical Officer. |
